The topic of this blog will be a journal from a patient's perspective it will detail medical procedures that at some time an individual will incur. We as patients need as much information as necessary to make us feel comfortable with whatever procedure that our medical team suggest is necessary. In order to disspell fears about needles, and one day out patient procedures I deceided to talk about and explain the various procedures I have undergone. I was fearful most of the time and the only thing I knew is what the hospital administrators told me. From my experience I have learned the best advocate you can have is an advocate for yourself. Hopefully my posts will be of interest to some. I am taking I leap of faith here to openly talk about my illnesses which are many and range from everything such as:biopolar, depression, HPV, anxiety, aneursym, severe reflux, severe carpal tunnel, muscle pain- just to name a few. I didn't name the hugh one yet--once I build up my courage to discuss it I will make a post about it.
Until then,
Adrienne
